Forging

Forging

This forging technology forms the part by pressing the warm or cold raw material into two or more multi-part moulds (die forging) or dropping the hammer to forge the material without mould (free forging).

Forging parts have excellent strength properties. Component parts processed by this method are particularly effective when forces and movements are to be transmitted and high strains are caused. There is a great range of standardized materials for the various applications that can be adapted by purposeful heat treatment to achieve an optimum adjustment to the purpose intended. Homogeneous properties of the materials ensure favorable conditions for the testing of the components.

Materials:   Steel, stainless steel, alloy steel according to DIN, ASTM, ISO, BS, JIS, SS, GB.
